Prescription Assistance Program
Lifeline can help customers obtain necessary prescription medication
once per year. In addition, case managers can help customers needing
maintenance medcation

apply for
long-term assistance through various
pharmaceutical company discount programs. Applicants must be Lake
County residents and meet income guidelines.
Medical Services Assistance Program
This program allows customers to recieve assistance paying for medical
services including blood tests, mammograms and ultrasounds on a
referral
basis. Referrals may be obtained by the Lake County Free Medical
Clinic, the Family Planning Association and various other healthcare
administrators in Lake County.
Lion’s Club Eyeglass/Eye
Exam Referral
Program
Through this program, customers can complete the
necessary paperwork for assistance with eye exams and eyeglasses.
Applications are
then forwarded to the Lake County Lion’s Club for approval and
financial assistance.
Taxable Items Program
This program allows low-income families to obtain a voucher to purchase
necessary taxable items including over the counter medications and
first aid items, cleaning

supplies, personal
hygiene items and other
paper and household products. Vouchers are valid at Rite-Aid in
Painesville and cannot be used towards the purchase of food, alcohol or
tobacco.
*Vouchers may only be
obtained if customer is participating in the prescription assistance
program, budget counseling sessions or Family Development program.
