Board of Directors

General Info

Lifeline’s Board is unique to many other non-profits because it is a federally-mandated tripartite Board—its membership must be evenly comprised of representatives of public officials, private sector representatives and representatives of low-income populations.

It is the tradition of Community Action to engage low-income populations in the management of their local Community Action Agency. Our Board feels strongly that it is important for our clients to have a voice on our Board to actively advocate on their behalf and is proud that our membership reflects that.

Lifeline’s Board also strives to accurately reflect the population of Lake County while also maintaining a Board with a diverse set of skills and resources.

Lifeline Board meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month and we welcome public comment at the start of each meeting.

Board Bios

Linda Child- Board President, Private Sector

I am a certified public accountant and have been practicing for the past 20 years.  My practice is located in Mentor.  My husband and I have a grown son who lives in Somerville, MA.  My interests include travel, reading. dogs, and sports car rallying.

I joined Lifeline's board to help the low-income community.  Too often the community at large is unaware of or overlooks their needs entirely, considering the problems of low-income residents as self-fulfilling prophecy resulting from some character flaw.

Lifeline provides not only emergency assistance, but helps our constituents find safe, affordable housing and medications.  Longer term benefits are provided through our family development  and upcoming life skills programs which empower our clients but teaching skills that enable them to be self-sufficient. Linda is appointed as an Independent CPA and serves as the Programs and Planning Committee Chair.

Dianne Rafferty- Board Secretary, Low Income Sector

I live in Willoughby Hills.  I am a Nurse Practitioner at Family Planning Association of Northeast Ohio. I was asked to join the Lifeline board and was pleased to accept.  I see firsthand how Lifeline assists the resIdents of Lake County. Many of my clients are low income and are unable to afford prescriptions or diagnostic procedures such as mammograms or prenatal ultrasounds. I am grateful that Lifeline is a resource  I can refer them to. Dianne was appointed by Family Planning Association of NEO.

Jeremy Iosue- Public Sector

Jeremy Iosue is currently the President of “Dylan, Iosue and Associates, LLC,” a Labor Relations and HR consulting firm focusing on public sector and non-profit organizations.  Prior to working with Dylan Iosue, Jeremy was an HR Director for University Hospitals Health System where he oversaw HR operations for several community hospitals and satellite locations within the UH system.  Jeremy received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State, and his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.  Jeremy is a lifetime resident of Lake County and Painesville City, and he currently makes his home in Painesville Township.

I joined the Lifeline Board because it is an organization whose goal is to improve the lives and living conditions of the residents of Lake County and Painesville, where I have lived my entire life.  I am a avid supporter of education as a means to a better life, and Lifeline provides the means for Lake County residents to learn how to live a better life rather than simply providing financial assistance.

In my short time on the Board, I have already seen the willingness of the community to be involved with Lifeline.  Most recently evidenced by the annual fundraising dinner when several community leaders attending and the band donated their services to the event. Jeremy was appointed by the Lake County Bar Association and serves as the Human Resources Committee Chair.

Erin Johnson- Low Income Sector

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Dual Diagnosis Counselor at Neighboring in Mentor.  I provide individual and group therapy to adults living with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.  I also contract with Project Hope for the Homeless as their clinical consultant.

I am excited to be a member of the Board at Lifeline as I hope to be a part of positive changes in this community.  The staff at Lifeline work hard to provide needed services and advocacy to those in need.   I am a strong believer in Lifeline’s stance on providing services, then educating, in order to aid in increasing self sufficiency and self efficacy to individuals and families within a diverse community.  I am proud to be a part of this organization and look forward to assisting, in any way that I can, to support the community that I call home. Erin was appointed by the Northcoast Center.

Anita Savastano- Low Income Sector
Anita was appointed by the Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority.

Michelle Herron- Low Income Sector
Michelle was appointed by the Lake County Department of Job and Family Services.

Rita McMahon- Public Sector
Rita was appointed by the City of Painesville and serves as Fundraising Committee Chair.

Dan Culliton- Private Sector
Dan was appointed by the First Energy Corp.

Lori Adler- Private Sector
Lori was appointed by First Energy Corp.
